CMS bus hits lines on Eastfield Rd.

A school bus somehow collided with a power line or cable line Tuesday morning in north Charlotte, but no injuries were reported.

The incident happened about 6:45 a.m. on Eastfield Road at Dogwood Lane. That is a short distance west of Browne Road.

Police say Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Bus 637 was involved in the incident. A spokeswoman for CMS says the bus was carrying about 30 students and was headed for North Mecklenburg High School. Authorities were able to clear the cable from the bus, and the vehicle continued its run with the students to school.
